The Classic of Mountains and Seas(山海经） is a Chinese classic text that has been regarded as a compilation of mythic geography. While back in time when the text originated in the 4th century BCE, for our Chinese ancestors, it was a geographical documentation. Their inadequacy of scientific discovery and fear of the unknown has transformed the animals into legendary beasts. In this series of works, the artist displayed the ongoing fear, anger, and confusion of contemporary life in the form of the classical text.
